| Proposal: | Addition of a new part "Environmental standardization for electrical and electronic products and systems" comprising the terminology published in IEC 62542.
Validation stage: The entries have been updated in accordance with the file "C00011 evaluation compilation of comments".
The terminology data can be viewed in several ways:
- in the file "C00011 validation rev.pdf",
- in the file "C00011 validation - rev5.xls", and
- on the maintenance portal in the folder "Items > Draft".

For convenience, a PDF snapshot (see attachment below) containing only the terms and definitions is also available in the file "C00011 evaluation.pdf".
ACTION: In addition to the usual commenting
1. Please review all remarks in the section "CO_remarks" of the appropriate entries on the maintenance portal or in column N in the xls file, and provide responses where necessary.
2. A preliminary categorization of the entries (IEV numbering) has been proposed. Please provide any counter proposals for numbering in your comments.
3. The gender has been added to French nouns. Please validate the gender added.
It is proposed to follow the "Normal database procedure" since these terms and definitions have already been approved by the IEC community.

| Justification and explanation: | The current proposal has been prepared in collaboration with IEC/TC 111 on the basis of the content of IEC 62542:2013.
Comments relating to particular entries are contained in the field "CO_remarks" of the appropriate entries on the maintenance portal (= column N in the xls file).
These comments include
- comments from TC 111 relating to certain entries
- information regarding changes made to the IEC 62542:2013 content (e.g. where a need was detected to align the terminology used in a definition with that already defined in the IEV, such an alignment was carried out in agreement with TC 111)
- for cases where an entry from IEC 62542:2013 is classified under a term already present in the IEV, a suggestion to TC 1 to add a specific use to the current IEV entry.
