| Definition: | the time duration from the input signal from the peripheral equipment to the telecontrol equipment at the sending station, to the output signal from the telecontrol equipment to its peripheral equipment at the receiving station
NOTE – The telecontrol transfer time includes time delay for signal conversion, coding, etc., in the telecontrol transmitter, signal delay on the transmission channel and time delay for reconversion, decoding, checking, etc., in the telecontrol receiver. However it does not include the response time of peripheral input and output devices, such as interposing relays, signal lamps, transducers, indicating instruments, etc.
